Jill Fortuna brings many years of diverse experience in Landscape Architecture, Master Planning and Architecture throughout North and South America, Africa and Australia. She manages large and complex projects and project teams, and thrives in a challenging environment.
With a diverse project background, Jill is fascinated with the process of building, and she strives to push the studio to embrace new ways of thinking about materials and construction in her role as Director of Research and Development. Spending much of her time on construction sites has led her to realize that a visceral connection to materials can directly inform beautiful, responsible and elegant designs. Jill is one of the veteran Construction Administration liaisons at GGN, and lead the Construction Administration scope at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture.
Jill holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan, and a Master of Landscape Architecture as well as a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia. In her spare time, she is likes to hike, snowboard, cook, and participate in volunteer activities with her Therapy Dog, Chicha, who spreads love and alleviates stress to others in need.
